Hey there, Mama. I see you.

You love the smell of pine needles, the feel of bare feet on soil, the quiet whisper of God in the rustling leaves. But these days? You’re lucky if you get five minutes of silence, let alone a solo hike. Your prayer life feels like a distant memory. In fact, prayer can sometimes feel like a mental exercise—too scripted, too cerebral, and not at all connected to the heart or body, like you're just going through the motions instead of meeting God in the moment.

That’s where Catholic Nature Mama comes in.

I created this space for mamas like you—faithful, crunchy, stretched thin, and still longing for something deeper. You haven’t stopped loving nature. You just need a new way to meet God there, in the middle of motherhood. You want to pray with your body, not just your words. You want to feel connected again—to the earth, to your children, to your Creator.

Here, we explore how to live our Catholic faith through the rhythms of nature, the wisdom of our bodies, and the sacredness of everyday life. No guilt. No pressure. Just gentle invitations to return to the God who meets us in the garden, the forest, the backyard, and the kitchen floor.

Let’s rediscover the beauty of creation together—one barefoot step, one whispered prayer, one messy, grace-filled moment at a time.

Why I’m Here (and Maybe You Are Too)

My Story

Hi, Mama!

I’m Gina, wife, homesteading homeschooling mama of three, nature therapy guide, retreat leader, nature lover, and Catholic convert.

I studied forestry in college all the way up to earning my Master of Forestry degree. While I worked in the public and private sectors early in my career, I quickly realized, my soul yearned for more and God was calling me to incorporate my knowledge of nature for His Glory.

After having my twins a few years ago, I desired to be a stay-at-home mom. Wondering how I could support the family and still be able to be with my children, I discovered nature therapy and got certified as a nature therapy guide. I’ve always loved nature and helping people find themselves and God. But it took me my motherhood journey to realize that I could combine these two loves as a soul-led entrepreneur.

One day when my twins were tiny tots, I took them on a hike at my local regional park. A fellow hiker stopped me on the trail. She said she was impressed that I was on the trail with my little ones and that she wished she had taken her kids out when they were little, but she didn’t know how.

I’ll never forget this story, because I know there are other mamas out there who feel this way. I want to show mothers that taking little ones in nature is not only possible, but enjoyable. It’s a time to delight in your little ones and renew your own spirit.

This is a gift I hope to bring to you and your family. So many beautiful things will flow from grounding in nature and connecting with each other.
